Gorgeous summer dress from PEOPLE TREE.
Inspired by traditional kimono held in the V&A’s extensive Asian collection, this print features a bamboo motif redrawn from a Japanese garment from the early 19th century. Here reimagined in vibrant fresh colours, bamboo represents longevity, perseverance and renewal.

This garment is made by Creative Handicrafts from TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres. Creative Handicrafts was founded in 1984. This dynamic fair trade organisation helps low income women in the slums of Mumbai achieve economic independence by training and creating jobs.

TENCEL™ Lyocell Fibres are cellulose fibres made from wood pulp. The fibre production itself is extremely eco-friendly due to the closed loop system used. It has a soft touch and is gentle on the skin.
